Kia has published some engine details and new photos of its replacement 2011 Picanto, which goes on sale in late spring. The new Picanto will be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show on 1 March. Aston Martin is in talks with Daimler AG over a potential partnership that would see the British luxury carmaker design and build a new Maybach ultraluxury sedan for the German automaker, Europe press reports said. Aston Martin may take engine technology from Daimler in exchange for building Daimler's Maybach cars, the Financial Times said on Wednesday, citing people close to the situation. German automotive magazine Auto Zeitung said Daimler has already commissioned a mock-up of a new Maybach limousine that would use know-how and parts from Aston Martin.
Audi introduced its Allroad shooting brake concept at the Detroit auto show on Monday. The plug-in hybrid brings a total output of 408 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque from three power sources, an engine and two electric motors. The transversely mounted 2.0-liter TFSI engine provides 292 hp with help from its turbocharger.
